Easy Baked Swordfish

Serves 2

Serving size: 8 oz

Time: 5 minutes prep; 15 minutes marinade; 22 minutes cook. Total time 42 minutes start to table


INGREDIENTS

  • Swordfish steaks... 1 pound, cut in half
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil... 2 Tbsp., plus a little extra
  • Garlic Powder... 1 tsp.
  • Lemons... 2 large, divided, plus extra slices to garnish
  • Sea Salt... ¼ tsp. or to taste
  • Green Onions (scallions)... 2 to 4 chopped
  • White Wine... 2 to 4 Tbsp.



Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease a 2.5 quart or similar size baking dish or baking pan, just big enough to hold the two steaks.
  3. Drizzle 1 and ½ Tbsp. olive oil on the bottom of the baking dish, ½ tsp of the garlic powder, and squeeze the juice of one lemon, and some sea salt.
  4. Place the swordfish steaks on top.
  5. Drizzle rest of olive oil, squeeze the other lemon, and sprinkle the rest of the garlic powder and salt on top of the steaks.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped green onion on the top.
  7. Pour the white wine on top.
  8. Let it sit and marinade for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375 degrees on center oven rack until cooked through or approximately 18-22 minutes.. Cook until the fish is even white color all the way through, tender to a fork when touched, and no longer opaque.
  10. Transfer to a serving plate, pouring the remaining lemon sauce from the pan over the swordfish and serve.
