SHIPPING DISCLAIMER

Once product leaves our facility we no longer have control of shipping.

Any late, damaged, or misdirected package is the responsibility of the shipper.

We will do what we can to alleviate any issues and work with the customer and shipper to get to a satisfactory resolution.




Shipping Days are Tuesdays and Thursday


  • Orders placed Thursday - Monday will be shipped Tuesday overnight for Wednesday delivery
  • Orders placed Tuesday and Wednesday will be shipping Thursday overnight for Friday delivery
  • Ups does NOT ship to PO boxes.

All of our premium seafood is sustainably sourced, prepared and shipped from Gloucester MA. We provide remarkably fresh seafood from the coast of Gloucester and surrounding MA areas, sustainably caught and packaged.


In order for your seafood to be as fresh as possible when it arrives at your door, we only ship Priority Overnight via UPS (Orders should be delivered within 24 hours). This ensures the refrigerant we use does not melt during shipping, keeping the seafood inside of the box cold and ready to be refrigerated or frozen upon arrival. For frozen items, the overnight shipping option still applies.


A signature is not required when the shipping courier delivers your order. You do not have to be present when the shipping courier delivers your order.


  • Orders are shipped Tuesdays and Thursdays. All orders must be received by 8 am in order to ship out that day. We may be able to accommodate other delivery days of Wednesday and Fridays upon request. Simply put your requested date in the comments field and we will let you know if we CANNOT do that. If you request a Saturday delivery, please note that UPS generally charges an additional $15 so you must purchase the $15 Saturday delivery item and request that in the comments field
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of your order and the Zone your state is in. For most New England States and zip codes, we offer $15 flat rate shipping.



WHAT ZONE IS MY STATE IN?


  • Zone GZ1: Shipping to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont... $15 overnight shipping on orders less than 50 Lb. All orders over 50 Lb. will be a $60 flat fee.
  • Zone GZ2: Shipping to parts of Maine, $15 overnight shipping on orders less than 50 Lb. All orders over 50 Lb. will be a $60 flat fee.
  • Zone 3: Delaware, Maine, New Jersey, New York
  • Zone 4: Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia
  • Zone 5: Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin

IS TWO DAY SHIPPING AN OPTION IF I DO NOT BUY LIVE SEAFOOD?


At this moment, unfortunately, this is not an option. We have contacted our website provider about implementing this for our frozen items to be another option during the checkout process.



PACKING YOUR SEAFOOD ORDER


We pack your order into an insulated box with frozen refrigerant to ensure your seafood maintains proper temperature. For live lobsters and crabs, items will be packed with wet saltwater paper on top and gel packs on the bottom.


All orders are processed inside our refrigerated workspace where the temperature stays at a consistent 38°F - 42°F to maximize the seafood’s freshness.


Before sending out all orders, we guarantee all shellfish and fresh fish is adequately chilled below 45°F before loaded on to the shipping courier’s truck. Shipper code: MA7802SP



ORDER DELAYS


On rare occasions, delays can occur if an item that you ordered is not in stock, is sold out, or will not be available until further notice. We do our best to keep our online inventory accurate, but on occasion some items may be out of stock. We will contact you right away to let you know if something you ordered is unavailable so you may choose an alternative or otherwise, to let us know how to proceed.



ORDER DELAYS - COVID-19 & WEATHER RELATED


UPS and other shipping couriers have experienced severe delays prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic and weather-related issues that can occur throughout the country. Because we ship perishable items and live seafood, always ship Priority Overnight to make sure you get all your orders delivered within 24 hours.


In cases when a winter storm is approaching areas in which we expect shipping delays, we will notify you by email to tell you that current outstanding orders will be shipped at a later date. Once a package leaves our facility, we have no control over delays that are caused by a shipping courier. Each time you place an order, we want to feel confident that you are going to receive your orders within the 24-hour delivery window so you can enjoy them with friends and family.



OUR FREEZING PROCESS


For any frozen items, Our fish and shellfish are processed and immediately frozen in our -30°F blast freezer. No chemicals or preservatives are added during the freezing or production process on any of our seafood items. That is our promise.



ZERO DEGREE FREEZER VERSUS -30 DEGREE FREEZER


Blast freezing seafood products at a lower temperature keeps the wall of the cell intact, ensuring that water from the inside does not exit. When defrosted, the quality, texture, and appearance will remain completely intact just as if it were a fresh product.


  • Freezing seafood products in a 0°F Freezer (a regular freezer):
  • Products take up to 24 hours to freeze
  • It causes the protein wall cell to burst, making most of the liquid exit
  • Causes discoloration, change in texture, slice ability, elasticity, taste chang
