A simple way to enjoy the tender flavor of scallops. Serve with a salad or vegetable for a healthy meal.
Ingredients:
- Scallops 2 pounds
- Butter 4 teaspoons
- Olive Oil 4 teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Fresh Ground Pepper ½ teaspoon
Cooking Instructions:
Time: 3 minutes cooking, 5 minutes prep
- Add the butter ad oil to a 12 to 14 inch saute pan on high heat.
- Salt and pepper the scallops.
- Once the butter and oil begins to smoke slightly, add the scallops to the pan, and make sure they are not touching if possible.
- Sear the scallops for 1 ½ minutes on first side, then flip over and sear for 1 ½ minutes. Remove from pan. The scallops should get a golden crust on each side maybe ¼ inch thick, and stil be translucent in the center.
