For a different twist on a Tuna steak, try this marinade grilled, pan seared or broiled! Can be served with rice, vegetable or salad for a healthy simple meal. May we suggest brown rice and broccoli?
Ingredients:
- Tuna Steaks 2 pounds
- Orange juice ½ cup
- Olive Oil ½
- Chopped Garlic 2 Tablespoons
- Fresh Rosemary 4 -6 sprigs or to taste
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Pepper ¼ teaspoon
Cooking Instructions:
Time: 10 minutes to prep, 30 minute marinade, and 5 minutes cooking time!
- Mix the orange juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
- If broiling: Add the marinade to the tuna steaks in a 9x12 baking pan. Pull off some of the rosemary leaves, or keep on the springs and lay across the tuna. Marinate 15-30 minutes, turning over once half way through. Broil on high, turning over once, about 1-5 minutes each side, depending on your desired level of doneness, rare through well done.
- If grilling or pan searing, marinade the tuna steaks in a gallon ziplock bag. Break up the rosemary sprigs and add to bag. Marinate 15-30 minutes. When done marinating, grill on high heat for 1-5 minutes per side. If pan searing, heat olive oil on high, when almost to smoking point place the steaks in the pan. Flip after 1-5 minutes. Discard any leftover marinade.
